This is disappointing since MS’ product is way better than ControlPoint security software it constantly fails to authenticate and does not present a message about the failure – you just keep swiping fingerpgint sensor until you succeed.

Windows 7 has built in support for fingerprint readers and thats what I was hoping to use not the ControlPoint software. Fingeeprint anyone plan to do something about it? The driver cannot see the sensor – it is “hidden” behind the Broadcom chip: It’s like if you want modify your video drivers to control your printer ;- Broadcom coprocessor and our fingerprint sensor are completely finherprint devices, each of them requires a different driver.

Another answer from UPEK: Device Manager registers the device correctly. The control point is working fine as it was working in XP. If that system came pre-installed with Vista, then those drivers are finverprint with that OS.
